You cannot control the people who hold the gun, the gun cannot grow legs and
kill someone. A person has to hold it, point, and fire under their own free
will. It is a stupid idea to ban guns all together. The term “guns kill people”
is implying that Cars drive people, and spoons make you fat. If they want to
ban guns because they kill people, then everything that can kill people should
be banned too, knives, ropes, lighters, matches, gasoline, shoelaces… we all
would have to be on lock down in a padded cell with a straight jacket strapped
to the floor to prevent anyone from hurting anyone else.
A person controls the gun with a conscious or altered mind. MIND. The mind is what controls the body, the body controls the gun, the gun does what it is told to do. Fire. The gun has no knowledge, no feeling, no conciseness of knowing where the bullet is traveling. The mind controlling the body HOLDING the gun knows.
If any action on gun control needs to be taken, their needs to be a training period, and a license to handle and or own any fire arm. And apparently a full psyche evaluation needs to be done. With that being said, it would be entirely easy for them to say that your crazy you cant have a gun. So that idea is up for a debate. It makes more sense though. Remember that several drugs are banned too. And people STILL manage to get their hands on them. By banning guns, it would be considered the new taboo, and people will only find a way around the ban.
here's my idea. Require everyone to have a license to own firearms. To get that, they should have to go through extensive training, and mental evaluation- deemed fit to Carry a firearm. Just like a car- training. Then, legalize marijuana, and limit alcohol. With that legal, people would be so chill and calm, the gun wouldn’t leave the home or holster. You hear about bar fights all the time, you never hear of coffee shop brawl. Think people, if you want to ban something consumable, ban the one that CAUSES the violence (bar fights). Ban beer, legalize pot, and see what people do. Alcohol kills more people than ‘guns’ and weed together.
Smoke a joint, and chill about it. Damn.
